State Integrated Peer Recovery and Mental Health Training
The 2020 ‘State Integrated Peer Recovery and Mental Health Training’ will be held on:
- October 19th – 23rd
The Anchor Recovery Community Center ‘Recovery Coach Academy’, now known as “State Integrated Peer Recovery and Mental Health Training” has been a long-standing leader in helping to equip individuals with the skills and competency needed to become a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) . Anchor has trained hundreds of individuals in Rhode Island, many of whom are the leading recovery specialists in the state.
Our training academy uses the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) curriculum for peer recovery specialist training. CCAR is a neighboring leader in peer recovery training. The CCAR model for peer recovery training is an evidence-based and time-tested model for offering peer support. This model is designed to provide an up-to-date approach to helping those in recovery from addiction.
Anchor Recovery Community Center has shared training methods for peer specialists with other communities nationwide to help broaden others’ access to recovery support.
